Wayne Alliance PAC
The Wayne Alliance PAC (WAP) is a fully registered Super PAC with the federal and NJ state governments. We support candidates for federal, state, county, and local elections, with a focus on garnering support for liberal and progressive candidates from the ground up. This means our primary concentration is centered around local elections.

Why the focus on local elections?
Federal elections, namely for the Presidency and either house of Congress are generally well understood. These races are typically the focus of Democratic Party support and receive the most attention from voters and donors both federally, and statewide. Local races (think council, mayor, state legislature, etc.) have as much, if not more, impact on our everyday lives. These elections determine the leaders who make decisions about our schools, public safety, and local services. These races rarely receive widespread support and funding, which makes winning these elections, well, near impossible!
Why fundraising?
While Presidential elections happen every 4 years and Congressional elections happen every 2 years, local and hyper-local elections occur nearly every year. While it may not be the same exact seat up every year, every November you have a good shot of finding yourself voting for either Mayor, or Council, or perhaps Board of Education, or some mixture of all three. You also might see local public questions on your ballot that pertain to your town specifically. These elections do not receive anywhere near the same media attention as federal elections, and ultimately, this comes down to money.
Why Now?
In the wake of this past general election, one thing has become abundantly clear: The Republican party is leaps and bounds ahead of the Democratic Party when it comes to relating to voters on the ground. On the surface, this may seem strange or shocking, but the fact is that Republicans have been funding local elections since before 2016. The GOP and Conservative Organizations have been playing the long game. They have targeted municipal races with buzz words and topics like Critical Race Theory, or LGBTQ+ rights. And it's working. They are raising money, targeting small towns, scaring hearts and minds, and winning elections.
If we hope to protect our future in the wake of a second Trump Presidency, we need to start fighting back. That fight starts at home.
